The Knights of Columbus along with The Notre Dame Social Club spent Saturday, October 5th, making crafts with the community. Our first Peter Pumpkinhead Workshop was a success….
One of the things I love the most about being a Knight is the change to give back to our local community. The community is what supports us, and to give back to them, especially the children, is a delight.
On October 5th we held our fist Peter Pumpkinhead Workshop, a free family friendly event for the kids of the community. With the support of Wayne-Westland Credit Union, Ken’s Country Produce and Community Financial Credit Union we supplied the kids with free crafts all day long… And they crafted… Let me tell ya…
Yep, the hall was a mess at the end of the day, but a mess well worth having. To see the smiles and hear the laughter was well worth the effort.
We look forward to doing it all again come November 30th for the Santa’s Workshop. Once again, free crafts for all, and who knows, maybe a visit from the man himself…
